At Stewart’s Archery, we design the longbows with two options a one piece or a three piece allowing archers to take the bows apart and reassemble as needed.
LS Slammer
Two years in design and improvement, the one piece Slammer is as radical as it gets and is still considered a longbow. We went to a radical limb and riser section for cast and performance. Riser sections are from 20 to 24 inches in length depending on overall bow length. The Slammer is available in lengths from 56-70 inches. Extremely fast and flat shooting, there is not a trace of hand shock with these longbows. The Slammer is made to handle lightweight carbon arrows. The limbs are made wider for longevity and decreased bow noise. Cut to center the Slammer comes with standard locator grip, and fast flight string. Buckskin grip and epoxy hardened finish are standard features on the Slammer. Satin epoxy finish.

LS Slammer Special
There is only one way to describe this one piece longbow and that is “Special”. A bow like the Slammer Special does not happen overnight, it’s the result of a slow evolution, subtle tweaks and some trial and errors. I listened to my customers and took the Slammer riser down to 18 inches to allow for a 58-62 inch Slammer. We then extensively field tested this bow in real hunting situations made more adjustments and now we are proud to release this longbow for the discriminating bow hunter. Our goal was to produce a bow that worked in tight spots whether it be in a stand or a ground blind. We were also looking for a whisper quiet bow, one that was smooth at the draw, absent of hand shock on release of arrow, displayed first shot and shot to shot consistency, and importantly was flat shooting. We are confident that you will be amazed at what this little bow delivers on all fronts. If you are looking for a high performance longbow capable of recurve speeds than the Slammer Special is your next choice. Satin epoxy finish.

Lil Slammer 56″
Just when you thought I was done, perhaps satisfied with my present line of Slammer longbows along comes the new for 2011, “Lil Slammer 56”. Around the shop we call it the “Badass”. I designed this bow to meet the demands of the tree stand and the ground blind hunter who wanted a Slammer longbow that could handle tight shooting situations where space and freedom of movement are at a premium. The result is a handy, very maneuverable bow which shoots and performs like other longbows in the Slammer series. I am excited about this bow and confident you will agree that nothing has been lost in performance or shootability in going to a shorter version of the Slammer.
The Lil Slammer 56 measures 56 inches nock to nock, and is 54 inches in length when strung. Its base platform is a 16 inch riser with a generous sight window and relatively short working limbs. Good news for you long arm archers, this bow easily accommodates draw lengths out to 30 inches. As with other longbows in the Slammer line-up up it is stable, quite and virtually absent any hand shock, simply put it a joy to carry and a pleasure to shoot. Satin epoxy finish.
Each bow is finished with a hand stitched leather grip and comes with a 15 strand FF string.

LS Slammer 3-piece TD Longbow
Airline travel and the associated costs of extra baggage are met head on with the take down version of the Slammer longbow. Slip it into your travel bag and you are ready for the next adventure. The take down is offered in a 14 inch (58-64 inch), 16 inch (62-68) or 18 inch (68-72) riser, depending on preferred bow length. Bolt on limbs, two alignment pins, diamonwood riser and locator grip are standard on the Slammer TD. One thing you will notice is the extra mass weight inherent in the diamonwood riser. If you are used to shooting a recurve the extra mass weight of the slammer will allow you to easily make the transition. The TD option also allows for having several sets of limbs for target, hunting, or as a back up for that once in a lifetime adventure. The limb design is the same as used in the one piece Slammer, the riser is cut to center and we have preserved all of the attributes of shootability , quietness and performance. A fast flight string, buckskin covered locator grip, and epoxy finish complete this impressive long bow. Satin epoxy finish.

- Optional Bamboo Limbs $120.00

LS Reflex-Deflex Longbow
A tremendous amount of time and patience was put into the design of the R&D Longbow. This bow still holds a spot in my heart as one of the best longbows I have ever shot, you can shoot this bow in the dark without feeling for the grip or worrying about hand placement. Surprisingly this longbow exhibits only a mild degree of reflex-deflex while displaying performance similar to most recurves today, including my own. Reflex-Deflex by design, this longbow has an 18 inch riser section with long working limbs that bend to the handle without any trace of stacking. Upon release of the arrow zero, not even a trace of hand shock will be felt. What sets this bow apart from others is the inherent quietness. One of my customers told me once “that this longbow was as quiet as a mouse p…..n on a cotton ball “, I guess that captures it all. This R&D longbow brings old school tradition and looks to a new level with unmatched performance and smoothness. Center shot sight window, complete with buckskin covered locator grip complements the graceful lines of this bow. Available in lengths from 62-70 inches in 1 inch increments; and 20-70# . Standard limb core include Maple, Birdseye Maple, and Osage. The Reflex-Deflex longbow comes a Flemish Fast Flight string and cloth bow case. Satin epoxy finish.
